The Moment AI Actually Became Useful for Practice Owners
May 15, 2026I had a client recently who walked me through something they were working on.
They had taken a single webinar, something they had already done, and started breaking it down in a way they hadn't before.
Pulling insights, looking at patterns, and asking better questions about what worked and what didn't.
At one point, they stopped and said, "This is kind of crazy."
Not because it was complicated, but because it was finally clear.
That's been the most interesting part of the AI conversation lately.
Everyone's talking about tools, features, or which platform is better.
But what I'm seeing in real time is something different.
It's not about the tool.
It's about what happens when a practice owner starts to see their business more clearly.
Another client said something similar: "I feel like I can finally look at things from above instead of being stuck inside of it."
That's the shift.
At your level, the problem isn't usually effort. You're already working, you're already thinking, and you're already solving problems every day.
The problem is visibility.
It's hard to step back and see what's actually happening when you're the one in it.
What I'm seeing right now is that tools like AI are starting to create that space.
Not by replacing your thinking, but by giving you a different angle on it.
And the clients getting the most out of it aren't trying to master the tool.
They're just asking better questions:
- "What am I missing here?"
- "What is this actually telling me?"
- "What would I do differently if I saw this sooner?"
That's where the value is.
Not in doing more, but in finally seeing what's already there.
